History
Line: Japeri e Paracambi
Japeri's story begins in the 18th century, when Morgado de Belém was created by Ignácio Dias Velho Câmara Leme and occupied by the São Paulo pioneers who settled there. In 1750, these lands were part of the parish of Sacra Família do Tinguá and, twelve years later, a chapel was built to Our Lady of Belém and the Son of God. The locality then came to be known as “Belém”.
