History
Line: Vila Inhomirim
Local Attractions: Cachoeira Grande waterfall
The name of the station and the neighborhood is a reference to the Piabetá River. "Piabetá" means "firm base", "solid foundation". It expresses "firmness, strength or vigor". In old texts, other spellings appear, such as "Piatá" and "Piabatá", meaning the same thing.
Interesting fact - the first railway in Brazil, the Estrada de Ferro Mauá, which connected Guia de Pacobaíba, in the Port of Mauá (Magé), until Fragoso, passed through Piabetá.
