At the foot of the Petrópolis mountains you can still see traces of Brazil’s historic past. The station is one of the oldest in the country and served as a bridge between the Port of Mauá and Petrópolis.
The excursion to Vila Inhomirim is carried out by a diesel train, known as “maria-fumaça” or steam locamotive and is an invitation to travel through time.
