History
Line: Santa Cruz
Station Anniversary: 09/10/1971
This station is one of the newest on the railway system. The station's name honors the chief engineer of the Electrification Superintendence of the Central Railway of Brazil (EFCB). Benjamin carried out the work of implementing electric drive.
The station was built because of the Ishikawajima shipyard, which even had exclusive access.
In the place of the farm a company called “Companhia Progresso Industrial do Brasil” was built, later to be called “Bangu Fabric Factory”. After the inauguration of the station, the railway started to use it for the transport of fabric.
