  • History

    Line: Saracuruna

    When the tracks were being laid on the line from Leopoldina station (in the center of Rio) to Saracuruna, a number of cuttings had to be made through a few hills that were lying in the path of the future railroad track. “Corte Oito” or (Cut Eight) station is where the eighth cutting stands.

    The station is the newest station in Rio's rail system.
