Line: Saracuruna
The station's name was the same as the neighborhood and the river that ran through the region. When the population discovered that Luís Alves de Lima e Silva, The Duke of Caxias, had been born there, they started asking for a change in the station’s name to honor the patron of the Brazilian Army. The “Correio de Iguassú” (a newspaper at the time) registered the occurrence on May 22, 1932.
