History
Line: Japeri
The station was inaugurated with the name "Caramujo" due to the name of the neighborhood. Rail transport was so important for the development of the area that years later the neighborhood was renamed “Engenheiro Pedreira”, in honor of engineer Raul Pedreira, the man responsible for the construction of the station. The station then also earned the same name.
