History
Line: Belford Roxo e Saracuruna
Local Attractions: CADEG (Guanabara State Supply Center)
According to the railway engineer Hélio Suevo Rodriguez, in “The Formation of the Railways of Rio de Janeiro” (Memória do Trem, 2004), the station's first name was Parada Silva e Souza Stop.
But it has also been called “Jockey Club” due to its proximity to an old horse racing meadow, which operated until 1926, called Jockey Club Fluminense.
The origin of the current name of the station comes from the division of cargo and passengers that was made at the place: Triagem-Cargas e Triagem-Passageiros (Sorting payloads and Sorting Passengers), as they were known.
