History
Line: Santa Cruz
Local Attractions: Vila Militar Officers Circle
During the government of President Afonso Pena (1906 - 1910), Minister of War Marshall Hermes da Fonseca initiated a major reorganization of the Brazilian Army.
For the loading and unloading of troops and war materials, as well as for the small local population (transferred military personnel), a small stop was built and was named Villa Militar Station.
In 1920, the station was expanded to include a replica of an English-styled fortified castle, which remains until today.
