Every year, Brazil throws away over 4 million items of fabrics and textiles, according to the Brazilian Association of Public Sanitation and Special Waste Companies (ABRELPE). These include old clothes, off cuts from the fashion industry, uniforms and items made of leather. Instead of being thrown in the garbage, these residues may be used as raw material and guarantee a new life to the fabrics which, in nature may take up to 20 years to break down.

Article 29 of federal Law 9.605 from 1998 prescribes a jail sentence of between six months and a year, besides a fine, for whoever “kills, chases, hunts, beats and abuses specimens of wildlife, whether native or migratory, without the express permission, license or authorization of the appropriate authorities.

Last week (03/08), we started training on accessibility at our company. Conforming to the Conduct Adjustment Terms (CAT), this initiative is a sizable step on our drive towards daily inclusion and appreciation of those with disabilities.
